The Canadian Cancer Society has launched the Centre for Cancer Prevention and Support (CCPS) – a national hub of research and innovation for cancer prevention and survivorship.
Included in this CCPS video is PHRI Scientist Darryl Leong and other researchers supported by the Canadian Cancer Society. He is the principal investigator in the Cancer Survivorship research team at PHRI, working on studies investigating such areas as:
- A randomized controlled trial and a long-running observational study, looking at ways to modify cardiovascular and lifestyle risk factors in men with a new diagnosis of prostate cancer.
- A phase 2 RCT investigating a therapy for early stage HER2 positive breast cancer.
- An international epidemiological investigation of phenotypes of middle-aged adults in a PURE substudy.
