As published in BMC Trials Journal this month, in a cross-sectional analysis globally mapping RCT-related articles in high-impact-factor medical journals from 1965 to 2017, Salim Yusuf was found to be among the top three most published (and number 1 most cited) authors.
The research looked at 39,305 articles published in 40 journals, including The Lancet, NEJM, JAMA, BMJ, Annals of IM, and PLOS Medicine, over the half-century. They looked at number of articles, citations, citations per article, articles in collaboration, total signatures, and collaboration index (signatures per article).
