Dr. Guillaume Paré, Director, Genetics and Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory (GMEL) at PHRI, was formally welcomed this month into the The College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists of the Royal Society of Canada – Canada’s first national system of multidisciplinary recognition for the emerging generation of Canadian intellectual leadership, as nominated by 51 Canadian universities and the National Research Council.
Paré is also Associate Professor, Pathology and Molecular Medicine, at McMaster University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, director of the Medical Biochemistry Postgraduate Education Program, and a Canada Research Chair in Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology.
Earlier this year, Paré was named a University Scholar, with comes with a prize of $15,000 each year of the four-year award, provided by McMaster Provost and Vice-President (Academic) David Farrar, and the Faculty’s Dean and Vice-President.
