Stuart Connolly, PJ Devereaux, John Eikelboom and Salim Yusuf has made the Highly Cited Researchers list for 2019, the annual compilation of the world’s most influential researchers.
The four PHRI researchers were among 14 McMaster University researchers included on the 2019 list, which is compiled by Clarivate Analytics, recognizing science and social science researchers whose papers rank in the top one per cent of citations for field and year in citation index Web of Science.
More than 6,000 researchers were named to the 2019 list: almost 4,000 in specific fields and more than 2,000 for cross-field performance. This is the second year that researchers with cross-field impact have been identified.

A total of 183 Canadian researchers were named to the 2019 list, up from 166 Canadians on the 2018 list. Canada is now sixth in the world for research influence.
