PHRI is turning a new chapter in our finance department with the retirement of Beena Cracknell, our long-time Director, Financial Services.
Way back in 1994, the year after Salim Yusuf started a preventive cardiology and therapeutic research program in Hamilton, Canada, Beena joined forces with his team.
Beena’s contributions have been substantial and invaluable, been critical to laying the foundations of success at PHRI and beneficial for all our investigators and studies. Her legacy will be felt for many years to come.
In addition to her hard work and unswerving loyalty, she has been a friend to all with her kindness and thoughtfulness. We wish her all the best in retirement, and look forward to the day (in the near future, hopefully) when we can celebrate her legacy in person!
