PJ Devereaux, a Senior Scientist and lead of the Perioperative and Surgery research team at PHRI, as well as the Director, Division of Perioperative Care, McMaster University, has been selected to join the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS) as a Fellow, for “vision, innovation and sustained excellence” in his field.
A total of 77 new Fellows were elected in 2020 – the largest ever number of applications for Fellowship in a single year, CAHS notes.
Among the other 2020 CAHS Fellows are: Lehana Thabane, an Associate Senior Scientist with PHRI and a Professor with the Department of Health Evidence and Impact, McMaster University; Karen Mossman, VP – Research at McMaster; and James Douketis, Professor of Medicine, McMaster. (See the full list.)
